W. Lance Wright is senior vice president of human resources and administration at USEC Inc. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of USEC’s human resource management plans and programs, information technology, and security.
Immediately prior to joining USEC, Mr. Wright was a vice president and principal at a prominent executive search firm. Previously, he was director of human resources at Mobil Oil (now ExxonMobil Corporation), based in London and Brussels. While at Mobil, he was responsible for HR operations involving employees in 30 countries in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and he played an instrumental role in developing the HR policies and procedures for the merger of Mobil and Exxon internationally.
Before joining Mobil, Mr. Wright held several HR positions of increasing responsibility at the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) in Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands. Early in his career, he was a pension and employee benefit plan specialist with TIAA-CREF, and an employee benefits consultant with Johnson & Higgins.
Mr. Wright earned his bachelor of science degree in political science from Eastern Michigan University and his master of science degree in industrial relations and personnel management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
