USEC Inc.’s headquarters staff is actively involved in the Washington, DC area community through volunteering, fundraising and participation in local charity organizations.
The headquarters’ charitable giving committee has adopted Hearts and Homes for Youth as its primary charity.
In 2007, USEC’s staff hosted a golf tournamnt to raise funds for Hearts and Homes, ran donation drives for school supplies and food staples, held a career day for youth preparing to transition out of protective care (see coverage in the Montgomery County Gazette) and hosted a holiday party for the residents of Hearts and Homes runaway shelter, among other activities.
