PIKETON, Ohio – USEC’s emergency response exercise that was scheduled for Saturday, September 15, 2007, has been postponed. The rescheduled date is not yet known.

Plant neighbors are being notified of the postponement. Local media outlets will be notified of the new date of the exercise once it is finalized.

USEC Inc., a global energy company, is a leading supplier of enriched uranium fuel for commercial nuclear power plants. It expects to deploy the next generation uranium enrichment technology in Piketon, Ohio – the American Centrifuge.
