PIKETON, Ohio - The United States Enrichment Corporation has named Jim Snodgrass as Security Manager for Contract Services at the Piketon Plant.
Snodgrass replaces Gary Hairston, who accepted the position of Manager of Human Resources for Contract Services at the Piketon plant earlier this year. In his new role, Snodgrass will be responsible for the uniformed Protective Forces as well as the overall security of the site.
“We are pleased to have Jim as our Security Manager,” said Wray Jordan, General Manager of USEC Contract Services. “His background, years of service and commitment to excellence will serve our company well.”
Snodgrass’s career at the plant began in 1976 when he was employed as a Security Police Officer for two years before being promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Over the next 28 years, he held various levels of management with increasing responsibilities in the Security Organization.
Prior to being employed at the plant Snodgrass worked at the Pike County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff. He is actively involved with several community service organizations. He and his wife Kathy (Kemper) Snodgrass have been married for 34 years and live in Waverly.
The United States Enrichment Corporation is a subsidiary of USEC Inc., a global energy company and a leading supplier of enriched uranium fuel for commercial nuclear power plants.
