PIKETON, Ohio - The United States Enrichment Corporation announces the promotion of Mark Conkel to Maintenance Manager at the Portsmouth plant. He reports to Sandra Fout, Transfer and Shipping Plant Manager.

Mark has served as a Group Manager in Maintenance since March 1997. He first came to the Portsmouth plant in August 1974, as a Chemical Operator. He was promoted to Foreman in Chemical Operations in April 1977, and served in various supervisory positions until October 1990, when he was promoted to Department Head over Feed and Transfer Operations. In February 1994, he moved to the Operations division where he was promoted to Deputy Division Manager in February 1995. Mark and his wife, Frances, live in Minford. They have three children, Ryan, Amanda and Craig.
