Lasoski Named 2005 Kentucky Physician Assistant of the Year

PADUCAH, Ky. - Jack Lasoski was presented with the 2005 Kentucky Physician Assistant of the Year award at the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants Annual Conference in Lexington, Kentucky on November 12. The award is given in recognition of his years of dedication and outstanding service in supporting and promoting the physician assistant profession.

Lasoski, the Director of Health Services at the United States Enrichment Corporation’s Paducah Plant, is a graduate of the Duke University School of Medicine PA program and has been in practice in Paducah for almost 30 years. During the presentation, Lasoski was recognized as the Chairman of the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure’s Physician Assistant Advisory Committee, the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistant’s Chief Delegate to the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistant’s Liaison to the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the cofounder of the American Academy of Physician Assistants in Occupational Medicine.

Other accomplishments mentioned include Lasoski’s volunteer work as a health care practitioner at St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic, his service as Chairman of the West Kentucky Technical College’s Advisory Committee, a Regional Faculty member for the Kentucky Heart Association, a retired United States Army Reserve Officer and past president of Temple Israel Synagogue.
