USEC Inc. Names Terry Sensue Regulatory Manager, Construction

PIKETON, Ohio – USEC Inc. has named Terry Sensue as Regulatory Manager, Construction, for the American Centrifuge Plant. In this newly created position, he will serve as the principal coordinator for regulatory matters related to the plant’s construction which began in late May 2007.

Sensue has been the American Centrifuge Piketon regulatory manager since September 2006. He joined USEC in July 1997 as a senior regulatory engineer for the United States Enrichment Corporation, a subsidiary of USEC Inc.

Sensue came to Piketon from GPU Nuclear’s Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station in New Jersey where he worked for more than 15 years. At Oyster Creek, he held positions as a senior regulatory affairs engineer, simulator analyst, supervisor of operations support, group operating supervisor, and shift technical advisor. In addition, he held an active NRC senior reactor operator license for 10 years and completed a one-year tour as a senior project manager on loan to the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations in Atlanta, Ga.

Sensue began his nuclear career with Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Pittsburgh, Penn. He earned a bachelor of science in nuclear engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.

Sensue lives in Chillicothe with his wife Jackie and stepdaughter Stacy.

USEC Inc., a global energy company, is a leading supplier of enriched uranium fuel for commercial nuclear power plants. It expects to deploy the next generation uranium enrichment technology in Piketon, Ohio – the American Centrifuge. The United States Enrichment Corporation, a subsidiary of USEC Inc., operates a uranium enrichment plant in Paducah, Kentucky, and does contract work for the U.S. Department of Energy in Piketon.
