PIKETON, Ohio – USEC Inc. has named Brady Barnhart as Manager of Project Controls at its American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon. Barnhart reports to Dan Rogers, Director, American Centrifuge Plant. In this role, he is responsible for the effective management of cost, schedule and project performance for the plant which is scheduled to begin construction later this year.
Barnhart has 32 years of nuclear experience at the Mound Facility in Miamisburg, where he spent several years as an Explosives Manufacturing Engineer. When Mound transitioned to a decontamination and decommissioning phase, he served as Deputy Site Superintendent. At the time of his retirement from Mound, he was Manager of Operations Support.
In 2005, Barnhart joined the Pittsburgh Naval Reactors Program as a Project Controls Engineer and later served as Project Controls Manager.
Barnhart studied chemical engineering at the University of Dayton. He and his wife, Letitia, currently live in Sciotoville. They have three grown children, Brady, Heather and John.
USEC Inc., a global energy company, is a leading supplier of enriched uranium fuel for commercial nuclear power plants.
