Kim Lassiter Is Named Director, Human Resources, for USEC Inc.’s American Centrifuge

PIKETON, Ohio - USEC Inc. has named Kim Lassiter as Director, Human Resources, for USEC Inc.’s American Centrifuge. He will be based out of the Piketon location but will be responsible for American Centrifuge HR Operations at both Piketon and Oak Ridge.

Lassiter has served as Manager of Human Resources for the United States Enrichment Corporation at Piketon since October 2002. Originally from Newport News, Va., he previously worked for Human Resources Consulting in Louisville, Ky. From 1994-2001, he served as Vice President of Human Resources for M. Fine & Sons Mfg. Co., Inc., a manufacturer of blue jeans and flannel shirts, also located in Louisville. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Human Resources for the Big Yank Corporation, a blue jean manufacturer in Lexington, Ky.

Lassiter also worked in Human Resources for Red Kap Industries in Nashville, Tenn., and for Wrangler in Tupelo, Miss. He also briefly served as an English instructor and once won first prize for short fiction in the Deep South Writers Conference.

He has been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resources Certification Institute.

Lassiter lives in Chillicothe with his wife, Deborah.
