BETHESDA, Md. - Senior U.S. District Court Judge Alexander Harvey II has dismissed a federal securities lawsuit filed against USEC Inc. (NYSE: USU) related to the initial public offering of common stock in July 1998.

In the opinion dismissing the lawsuit, the Court found the prospectus contained detailed and meaningful cautionary language tailored to the specific risks that USEC faced. In addition, the Court found that the lawsuits were filed after the statute of limitations had run.
