USEC Elects Michael Woo Vice President

BETHESDA, Md. - USEC Inc. announced today that the Board of Directors has elected Michael T. Woo Vice President, Strategic Development.

For the past three years, Woo has served as Director, Power Resources Group, where he has been responsible for negotiating USEC’s power contracts and managing its power operations. In his new capacity, Woo will coordinate strategic initiatives, develop strategic opportunities and lead select negotiations. He will also continue to oversee the Power Resources Group.

“Mike has been a strong member of the USEC team,” said USEC President and CEO William H. Timbers. “His leadership on power issues and financial programs has been quite important to USEC’s strategic success in recent years.”

Woo joined USEC in December 1994 and was originally Manager, Financial Strategic Programs in the Finance Department, where he worked on USEC’s privatization and other issues. Before coming to USEC, Woo spent 13 years as a professional staff member on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

He holds master’s degrees in public policy and physical chemistry, both from the University of Chicago.
